Birds and humming birds

Well-the rain has slowed again and I took a look see outside. I could hear birds and saw a humming bird! Does that mean the storm is over?
The water-well-I can't tell if its rising or not just yet. It doesn't seem to be rising like it was.
Cory is beat- he was up all night keeping watch while Matt and I slept soundly. Toby spent the night in the garage and Cory was concerned about his well being.
We have gas so we are able to make soup and oatmeal. We have plenty of peanut butter and jelly and lots and lots of snack junk and fruit. Funny how boredom makes Matthew hungry. We are currently watching a movie on my portable Dvd player. The option of using of car chargers are a wonderful thing!

Hey, it worked for Noah when the FLOOD was over in the Bible! I'll bet since you are hearing and seeing birds again that it's passed over. Thank God.

Sounds like you have lots of yummy stuff to nibble on - heck, what else are you going to do?

Hopefully Cory can get a nap in now that things are settling down. I sure hope your electricity comes back on soon. I haven't checked the news to see what the rest of your town and Galveston looks like. It must be pretty bad?

Let Toby in the house! He should be with the rest of the family!!!

PB&J...how about power bars. Hope Cory gets a chance to laydown. Have the winds stopped?

Birds are good sign - watch out for snakes who get moved out of borrows! ewww.

If DVD fails, there is always the old school favorite, have Matthew READ A BOOK! Use candlelight and pretend to be Abe Lincoln.
