The calm before the storm. Just taking these now so you can see the before and afters. I fully expect to lose some of my landscaping with the wind gusts. You know how much time and effort I put into the yard this year. They are looking at 95 mph winds here in Spring.
On our street, we have a
1) a new house under construction by John Slattery - Yup that's the jiffy john still sitting out front. Nice builder, right? That thing is a definite projectile. (see picture 1)
2) a couple who just moved in from Kansas yesterday. They have a theatre room under construction right now and you can see the workers in front of their house. They can't get their cars in the garage because of the move so pray that we don't get hail.
3) a family whose husband heads up the Exxon/Mobil refinery. That's the largest refinery in the country.....he's at the refinery and she's riding out the storm by herself.
4) a family who is out of the country.
5) a family whose husband left this morning for the Oklahoma football game. He left his wife and 2 girls (13&9) at home to fend for themselves. Charmer.
You can see Barkley and what it's like around here. Nuthin! Boring!

Hi Susan! As usual, your backyard looks beautiful. The skies look pretty good right now, eh? I really hope you guys get passed over and don't have any damage! Stay safe!
Sue =)
I really hope and pray everyone will be ok in your neighborhood. It must be so scary to be waiting for a hurricane! Bob, crazy fool that he is, would just love something like that. Not me!
I know I said I'd write you...I will get to it...need some uninterrupted time to do it.
=)
